Currently
Guy is currently Associate Choreographer, alongside Kati Farkas, of the musical ‘KEEP COOL,’ produced by Marco Rima, which premiered at Theater 11 in Zurich and is now touring Switzerland. Recent work also includes choreographing an event at Grosvenor House on Park Lane, London, a commission for LIPA’s production ‘Fallen,’ and directing ‘ONYX,’ one of London’s leading dance intensives, alongside weekly company training with his company, G.S Creative.
As a performer, Guy has recently toured the UK and internationally with ‘Ballet Nights,’ featuring his original tap piece ‘Temperature,’ and spent three years touring globally with ‘STOMP,’ including a run at the Orpheum Theatre in New York. He also teaches at leading dance colleges and universities.
Biography
With over 17 years working in the industry, Guy's work spans choreography, creative direction and performance across theatre, television, live events and music.
As a choreographer and creative, his credits include Associate Choreographer on 'KEEP COOL' (Swiss tour), and Associate Choreographer to Carrie-Anne Ingrouille on 'Wonderful Town' at Opera Holland Park and 'Village Idiot' at Theatre Royal Stratford East. He also choreographed and supervised 'West Side Story' for the Bishopsgate Institute, and was Associate Choreographer on Royal Caribbean's 'Spectrum of the Seas,' helping create the new show 'The Effectors.' Guy also leads creative direction, choreography and casting for Gen Z Events.
Guy has worked with artists and brands including BTS, The Black Eyed Peas, Coldplay, Tinie Tempah, Zara Larsson, Paloma Faith, BAELY and Union J, and on productions such as the Olympic ceremonies, the Rugby World Cup ceremonies, Britain's Got Talent, The X Factor, The Voice UK and Germany, The Graham Norton Show, the Jingle Bell Ball and Scene Festival Lewisham, with clients including BBC, ITV, Sony, Universal, Nickelodeon, Kellogg's and TK Maxx.
In theatre, he has performed in 'Aida' for the Royal Ballet and Opera, choreographed by Rebecca Howell, and toured internationally with 'STOMP,' 'The Choir of Man' (Australia), 'Cats' (UK and international), 'Thoroughly Modern Millie' (UK tour), 'Happy Days', 'Ballet Nights' and Crossroads Pantomimes'. A trained musician, Guy also performs as a drummer and percussionist, and creates original music for his work.
Guy founded G.S Creative as a home for new work and opportunities for like-minded artists. Based at his family's Lanterns Studio Theatre in Canary Wharf, it now delivers some of the UK's best dance training alongside productions spanning choreography, composing, movement direction, film and photography.
Training
Guy began training in dance and music at an early age under his mother's tutelage at Lanterns School of Performing Arts. He went on to train at The Arts Educational School, Tring Park, for 10 years, followed by three years at The Urdang Academy, London. He also spent two years at Trinity College of Music, Greenwich, studying drum kit and percussion, with clarinet, composition and recording, performing in big band and percussion ensembles.
